| Prof. Danqing SongRecipient of the Guangdong Provincial Distinguished Young Scholar FundSecretary-General of the International Consortium on Geo-Disaster Reduction (ICGdR) ChapterSouth China University of Technology, China Professor Danqing Song is a professor and doctoral supervisor at South China University of Technology, and Deputy Director of the Office of Development Strategy and Planning. He is a recipient of the Guangdong Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund, the “Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program” of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the “Shuimu Scholar” Program of Tsinghua University. Professor Song serves as a council member of several academic organizations, including the Redbed Engineering Slope Branch of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRME), the Ground Rock Engineering Professional Committee of CSRME, the Landslide and Engineering Slope Branch of CSRME, the Underground Engineering Committee of the Guangdong Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and the Guangzhou Ecological Security Society. He has long been engaged in research on rock engineering geology related to slopes, landslides, tunnels, and underground caverns. His main research interests include dynamic effects of rock mass structures, dynamic disaster mechanisms of rock masses, monitoring, early warning and prevention of geological hazards, and intelligent construction of underground engineering. He has participated in numerous major projects such as the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, the Three Gorges Project, the Jiudian Gorge Dam on the upper Yellow River, Heifangtai, and the Xiangli Expressway in the middle Jinsha River, conducting stability evaluation and prevention of major landslides, high slopes, and deep-buried tunnels. |
![]() | Assoc. Prof. Dong Zhou Associate Dean, School of Civil Engineering Zhengzhou Institute of Technology Dong Zhou, male, holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. He is an Assoc. Prof. and Sr. Eng. He serves as an external Master's Supervisor at North China University of Technology and holds the qualification of First-Class Constructor. He was selected as one of the first batch of Young Talents Program candidates at Zhengzhou Institute of Technology and has been honored as an Outstanding Teacher of the institute. Currently, he is the Associate Dean for Research of the School of Civil Engineering at Zhengzhou Institute of Technology. His main research interests include soil improvement and sponge city construction. He has been granted 3 invention patents, published 1 monograph, obtained 1 provincial-level construction method, and published over 10 academic papers. He has led and participated in more than 10 research projects. |
